Lora Hinchcliff

Municipal Solutions Manager, Living Earth®

Lora Hinchcliff is the municipal solutions manager at Living Earth®, the leading composting and organic material products company in Texas. She leads the efforts for Living Earth® in partnering with municipalities to design and execute sustainable solutions for municipal diversion of green material and commercial diversion of vegetative food scraps. Currently, more than 750,000 tons of diverted organic wastes are received annually by Living Earth® for sustainable materials management. She works to deliver cost-effective recycling programs, keep beneficial organic materials out of landfills, and return those materials to the environment. Lora is a SWANA Certified Manager of Composting Programs and a Texas Certified Nursery Professional. She serves as co-chair of the Houston-Galveston Area Council Solid Waste Management Committee, president of the North Texas Corporate Recycling Association, and a member of the North Central Texas Council of Governments Resource Conservation Committee.

Common Ground Compost

Meredith Danberg-Ficarelli is a green business entrepreneur with a Masters in Urban Policy Analysis and Sustainability Management from the New School, New York. In 2012 she concepted, co-founded, and managed FERN [Food Establishments Recycling Nutrients], a sustainable waste management organization in Beirut, Lebanon which presented a model for green job creation in the Middle East drawing attention from the United Nations and international aid organizations. After returning from Beirut, Meredith worked at the Lower East Side Ecology Center as a Marketing Director and Program Developer for the Gowanus eWaste Warehouse. Meredith was lucky enough to audit the 2015 Master Composter class during that time. Meredith volunteers and works with organizations across the Northeast, including CitySoil in Boston and Talk Trash City in New York City. A lover of cities and maker of things, Meredith builds furniture from trash and finds nothing more satisfying than seeing well-sorted waste stations.

Isaac is a 2017 graduate of the Boston University Questrom School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Energy & Environmental Sustainability. He’s studied the economics, technology and policy driving organic waste hauling while working for MissionPoint Partners and has helped to found the NJ Composting Council, soon to serve as the Secretary.
